MindCare Vision

MindCare Centres is part of NeuroPsychoTherapeutics Corporation (NPTx), an organization dedicated to providing highly specialized medical care for patients with depression and other mood disorders. Our medical care focuses on the remarkably successful treatment titled repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (rTMS). (Please see description of rTMS under Procedure)

Currently TMS therapy in the U.S. is confined to clinical research trials attempting to obtain FDA approval, and very minimal “off label” delivery. Canada is the first country in the world to successfully offer direct clinical availability to patients, which gives NPTx MindCare a unique opportunity to further show the advantages of this treatment and assist in extending its availability worldwide.

Since its inception in April 2000, the members of NPTx MindCare have devoted all energies and resources to providing the psychiatric community with access to rTMS, a safe and effective treatment for depression and mood disorders.

Quality Patient Care

• Depression is a serious illness, and we take the treatment of it very seriously. Providing quality patient care is not only our priority, but is incorporated into everything we do.
• From the moment a patient contacts us and during his/her initial consultation, we will provide the information one needs to make an informed decision about rTMS therapy.
• Our doctors and staff are knowledgeable, caring and enjoy working with patients to provide the best possible care. Our clinics are designed to provide a pleasant and comfortable treatment environment.

• The MindCare Medical Board of Advisors consists of leading rTMS researchers and doctors throughout the world. MindCare Centres has very strong academic associations with numerous other top academics in the field of rTMS and mood disorders.

Our Staff

• Our network of caring and highly trained administrative staff and doctors are dedicated to help improve a patient’s quality of life and ensure a pleasant treatment experience.
• We feel that the treatment experience is just as important as the treatment itself.
• Our staff and physicians are approachable, friendly and committed to quality patient care.
• During the treatment planning phase, our administrative staff is pleased to provide hotel accommodation information for out-of-town guests, assist in arranging travel plans, as well as provide tourist information for patient entertainment.
• Once in the clinic, patients are treated warmly and often become extremely close with other patients and MindCare staff. We genuinely want to make the treatment experience as comfortable as possible for each and every patient.
• Staff care ranges from offering freshly-brewed coffee and cookies to every single patient and arranging city site-seeing tours, to preparing a birthday celebration for a patient’s birthday.

Outcome Tracking

• Patient progress and results are important to us, and following up with patients once treatment has ended is an integral part of providing quality patient care.
• We have employed a sophisticated outcome tracking system, using specialized and custom-developed software.
• Our software allows us to optimize each patient’s treatment, track results, provide in-depth reports for patients and referring physicians, as well as predict the need for maintenance therapy.
• We ensure patient and record confidentiality throughout the entire process by employing a high-level security software system.
